Blockchain Architect
Course Description
Blockchain Architect
Course Code: BC90.01 — Blockchain Architecture & Security
The Blockchain Architect program builds the knowledge and hands-on skills to design secure,
scalable blockchain solutions. Students learn blockchain functions, architectural models,
enabling technologies, and security—from distributed ledgers and consensus to smart contracts
and integration patterns that deliver real business value.
Graduates gain proficiency in ledger co-existence models, interoperability, and
threat modeling with appropriate countermeasures, preparing them for the
Blockchain Architect certification exam and real-world solution design.
technical leaders seeking to evaluate, design, and secure blockchain systems across enterprise use cases.
What You’ll Learn
- Blockchain fundamentals: distributed ledgers, blocks, transactions, consensus
- Architectural patterns: permissioned vs. permissionless, sidechains, Layer-2
- Smart contracts: design, testing, and secure development lifecycle
- Identity, keys, wallets, and access models for enterprises
- Security threats and countermeasures across the stack
- Performance, scalability, and interoperability strategies
- Use-case evaluation and ROI modeling for business value
Topics Covered
- Consensus mechanisms (PoW, PoS, PBFT, Raft) and trade-offs
- Data structures: Merkle trees, immutability, and auditability
- Token standards and assets (e.g., fungible/non-fungible) and governance
- Privacy techniques: zero-knowledge proofs, mixers, confidential computing
- Enterprise frameworks: Hyperledger Fabric/Besu, Quorum, Corda overview
- Integration: event streams, APIs, oracles, and off-chain storage patterns
- Risk management: threat modeling, compliance, and operational monitoring
